The Closed Loop

It’s easy to promote materials based on one or more environmental or social attributes, but a truly holistic approach to sustainability demands a rigorous evaluation of products from design through to their end of life.

We call this a product’s “lifecycle,” and the most sustainable lifecycle is the “closed loop,” where the inputs to create a product are the same as its end-of-life outputs. It’s the product lifecycle that best replicates what nature does normally.

As manufacturers of recycled paperboard, we take used paperboard from other factories and used cartons from individual homes, re-pulp it all, and transform that pulp into new paperboard that is ready to meet customers’ needs.
